A TINY MANIFESTO
Attention should not always go to the highest bidder.
The internet keeps turning attention into an auction. Pay more, rank higher, stay visible longer. This is notbidding: a small experiment in doing the opposite.
Every listing follows the same rules. There is one public price per listing at a time, and there is no way to buy a better position for one. We randomize the order, never the share. Nobody can buy a boost, including us. There is no ranking to climb, no bid to raise and no algorithm to reverse-engineer.
Random does not mean some people get everything and others get nothing. We use a shuffle bag: every member in a round gets exactly one turn before anyone gets a second.
What ten dollars buys is permanent: a listing page with a real link, and a place in the rotation that does not expire. Your share of the homepage is slots ÷ pool, so it shrinks as more things join. We publish that in the rotation table before you pay rather than discovering it afterwards. Being early is worth more than being late, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
